![]() The Web arrives on your TV! This month Sony and Philips will ship WebTV Set-top boxes that will enable Web browsing on your television set. For approximately $300 and $19.95 a month, you can have email and internet access from your couch, bed, kitchen, or bathroom. WebTV Networks Inc. of Palo Alto has designed a Web Browser that works with a remote control... and it's much easier to use than Netscape or Explorer. Look out world.. the Web is on it's way and soon every John & Jane Smith will want to be a Web publisher. Why am I telling you this? Because I work for WebTV, and this is the main reason I have spent so little time updating Pixelsight. I'be been spending the last year working on the look of the WebTV Browser interface. In the future I will be formatting all the pages in Pixelsight to look good on WebTV. I will also be adding tutorials, tools, and features for making your pages look awesome on the TV. | |||

to go live soon! I want to thank the thousands of users that have been beta testing Pixelsight. I hope you have enjoyed faster access and the improved user-interface. I am continually fixing bugs and improving the reliability of the service, in preperation for that day sometime soon, when I will replace the old Pixelsight with the new beta service. I must warn you that the service will probably slow down once that happens, but it shouldn't be as bad as the old service. If it gets unreasonably slow, I will probably create payed subscriptions on dedicated servers to guarantee faster access. At that time I will add more features like custom animations, and full page creation for subscribers. |
